Why is this job awesome? At D.W. Cary Hauling, no day is the same. As a full-time diesel mechanic, you'll do preventative maintenance on different types of equipment in our large fleet, as well as minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers.

Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, transmissions, and powertrains
- Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems, air brakes, and aftertreatment systems (DEF, DPF, EGR)
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair engine performance issues, fuel systems, cooling systems, and drivetrains
- Experience working with preventive maintenance and DOT compliance standards
- Familiarity with fleet management systems and work order documentation
Certifications and Training
- ASE certifications (T-Series T2, T6, and T8)
- OEM Certifications (Mack, Detroit, PACCAR, etc)
- CDL License (preferred for test-driving heavy-duty trucks)
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of diesel repair shop, fleet maintenance, or dealership experience
- State inspection license a plus
- Valid driver's license
- Provide your own tools
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Pre-employment drug test
- Pre-employment DOT physical and DOT medical card
